Jeff Hartman

Jeff Hartman is the Artistic Director of Hickory Arts, a boutique music, acting, and artist development studio in Hickory, North Carolina. A teaching artist, producer, actor, director, composer, and musician, Jeff has spent more than three decades working across music, theatre, film, and arts education.

An Appalachian State University alumnus, Jeff has performed, directed, recorded, produced, and collaborated with artists throughout the Southeast while remaining deeply committed to the local arts community. In 2010, he helped found Down to Hear Studios, which later became Hickory Arts, a creative home dedicated to personalized arts training, mentorship, and collaboration.

Today, Jeff considers himself less a person of the arts and more a person for the arts, helping students, artists, and organizations discover their potential, develop their craft, and share their work with the world.
