Lori Barklage
In the aftermath of Helene clean up continued well into the spring when a neighbors damaged dogwood was being removed. With no other plan in mind I gathered the blossoms and pressed them. I experimented with different ways to enhance and preserve them, making the delicate blossoms stronger and preserving them as wearable art. Soon I added azaleas, quince, forsythia, violets, and others to my flower press.
