Humane Society of Catawba County

At the Humane Society of Catawba County, we believe every animal deserves safety, compassion, and the chance to be loved.

Some animals come to us frightened. Some have been abandoned. Some are sick, injured, or simply lost. Others have lost the only home they have ever known. However they arrive, our responsibility is the same: to help them feel safe, receive the care they need, and move toward a better life.

We provide shelter, medical care, and second chances for homeless dogs and cats while helping them find loving adopters. We also support families through affordable spay/neuter services and community programs that help people care for the animals they love. Our work does not stop at our shelter doors. Every adoption, surgery, donation, volunteer hour, and act of kindness helps reduce suffering and build a more compassionate community for animals and people alike.

Our vision is a Catawba County where no adoptable animal is euthanized and where overpopulation, cruelty, and inhumane treatment become things of the past. That is a big goal, and it will take all of us. We believe this community has the compassion to get there. And every day, we are committed to doing the work, earning your trust, and moving closer to that future together.
